We attended Bear on the Square this past weekend in Dahlonega, GA. This was really one of the best festivals we had ever been to! The downtown square area of Dahlonega is packed with great shops and restaurants. With the festival going on, it was definately a day full of fun. The festival included musical acts going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There were also gathering of local blue-grassers playing their instrument all around the square. You could also see dancers as well as local artisans. The booths had great arts and crafts to choose from. They ranged from collegiate bird houses, homemade granola, salsa, to hand carved furniture. This festival had a little bit of something for everyone. The “festival food” was also very appealing. From your usual funnel cakes, to roasted corn, sausage dogs, seafood, shaved ice, and more. Check out our pics and be sure to not miss Bear on the Square next year! We will also be doing some more blog entries on favorite finds in Dahlonega.
